Painful Emotions
painful emotions do not lie
they are not just for the weak
you feel them lying still, and on the fly
they can leave a wet streak on your cheek
someone overstepped their bound
and thought they were something
someone they are not
and it continues and stings
like a scent that an animal can trace
long after it's gone
is it ever really erased
until truly forgotten
